StreetSolid to me is an opportunity for change. It's an avenue to reroute your life to better, for better. When I first moved to Nashville I needed guidance, structure something to look forward to keep me on track for success. That’s when I found StreetSolid - program that invested in me mentally, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. Street solid challenged me to become better to want better for not only myself but for my future. I later joined StreetSolid to assist in being the change that I wanted to see - by giving what was given to me - another chance, another shot at becoming a beater version of myself.

After I got shot, StreetSolid came to check on me every day in the ICU. I don’t know if StreetSolid will change my life, but we’ll see.

StreetSolid is fantastic. It helped me build my clothing brand and taught me how to run a business in the future.

StreetSolid helped me realize I had unique talents…well I always knew that, but StreetSolid helped me to find out how to use my talents to nurture myself. Yeah, StreetSolid helped me do that. And If I get rich, I’ma donate a recreation center to StreetSolid. You can know that!

I been part of this group since 9th grade. My homies told me there was this mentor program that helped you better yourself and stuff like that. The experience in the entrepreneur program was something different – it was comfortable – it was something new for me. Now we want to spread that positivity to everybody worldwide. StreetSolid shows you a different way. They changed my ways in a good way. It was a big impact on me. They strengthened my communication skills, my leadership skills…and me overall and how I present myself.
(Marquis, StreetSolid Participant, Metro Nashville Public School student)
I been going to this group every single week. I couldn’t miss it. It was a great group. Three years later, I’m still here. I used to be real shy but now I’m more confident. Now I talk to way more people. I learned to communicate better. I learned that through the program.

It was just good energy and I always wanted to be around that.
